ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how often strokes happen in patients who are undergoing surgery at Assuit University Hospitals. A stroke is a serious condition that can occur when blood flow to the brain is interrupted, and it can lead to long-term disability or even death. The study aims to look at patients scheduled for various types of surgeries, especially those considered higher risk, such as heart or brain surgeries. By gathering this information, researchers hope to find ways to reduce the risk of stroke during surgery and improve patient outcomes.
To participate in this trial, patients must be admitted for surgery in the general, cardiothoracic, or vascular surgery departments at Assuit University Hospitals. This includes people of all ages and genders. However, patients undergoing surgeries in other departments or those showing signs of delayed recovery from anesthesia will not be included. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, those who join can expect close monitoring during their surgery and recovery to help researchers gather important data about stroke occurrences.
