ClinConnect Summary
The Seattle Spatial Transcriptomic Research in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Evaluation (STRIDE) trial is studying how gut inflammation affects children with inflammatory bowel diseases, such as Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. This research will also include a group of children who have issues with gut-brain interactions but do not have visible gut inflammation. The goal is to gather important long-term information and samples from these patients to better understand their conditions.
To be eligible for the study, participants should be children suspected of having Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, or Indeterminate Colitis. However, they must not have other serious health problems, be pregnant, or have issues with substance abuse. Participants in this study can expect to provide clinical data and samples that will help researchers learn more about these diseases and potentially improve future treatments. If you or your child is interested, this could be a chance to contribute to important medical research.
