ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how two types of anesthesia—epidural and spinal—used during cesarean section surgeries affect the oxygen levels in newborns' brains. The researchers want to understand if these anesthesia methods can impact the amount of oxygen reaching the baby’s brain, which is important for their health.
To participate in this study, women must be between 18 and 35 years old, pregnant, and planning to have a cesarean section. Their newborns need to be born after at least 37 weeks of pregnancy. There are some criteria that could exclude potential participants, such as allergies to local anesthetics or certain health conditions. If eligible, participants will have the chance to contribute to important research that could improve anesthesia safety for future mothers and their babies. The trial is not yet recruiting, so interested individuals will need to wait for further updates.
