ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the use of a special virtual reality device called GRAIL (Gait Real-time Analysis Interactive Lab) to help children and adolescents with acquired brain injuries and cerebral palsy improve their walking and balance. The GRAIL combines a treadmill with virtual reality technology to create a personalized and engaging rehabilitation experience. The goal is to see how well this technology works in real-life settings and to assess any potential risks associated with its use.
To participate in the study, individuals must be between the ages of 18 and 26 or 7 and 30 years old and be able to follow simple verbal instructions. They should have a moderate level of movement ability (rated I to III on a specific scale). Participants will take part in 20 sessions using the GRAIL and 20 traditional physiotherapy sessions over four weeks. Before starting and after completing the treatment, their progress will be evaluated. This study is a great opportunity for eligible patients to explore new ways to enhance their rehabilitation while contributing to important research.
