ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of kangaroo care, which is a special way for parents to hold their premature babies close to their skin, on both the babies and the parents. The researchers want to see if this practice helps improve the babies' vital signs, like heart rate and breathing, and also boosts parents' confidence in their parenting skills and strengthens their emotional bond with their baby.
To participate in the study, parents need to be Turkish citizens who speak Turkish and have a premature baby born between 28 to 37 weeks, currently in the neonatal intensive care unit. It's important that both parents can come to the hospital regularly to take part in the kangaroo care sessions. However, parents whose babies have serious health issues or certain medical devices will not be eligible. If you decide to join, you can expect to spend time holding your baby in a safe and supportive environment, while helping researchers learn more about the benefits of this nurturing practice.
