ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how well ultrasound can help doctors find out what’s causing severe stomach pain in adults, and it compares the results to a CT scan, which is another type of imaging test. The goal is to see which method is better at diagnosing different causes of acute abdominal pain in patients who come to the emergency room at Sohag University Hospital. The study will involve 50 adults, and it is currently looking for participants.
To be eligible for the trial, you need to be an adult over 18 years old who is experiencing severe abdominal pain. Unfortunately, pregnant women cannot participate. If you join the study, you will receive both an ultrasound and a CT scan, and the doctors will compare the findings from both tests to understand which one provides better information for diagnosing your condition. Your participation could help improve how doctors diagnose and treat abdominal pain in the future.
