ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how the position of the head and neck, specifically a condition called forward head posture (FHP), affects certain skills like hand-eye coordination and balance. Researchers want to understand if there’s a connection between the way the neck senses its position (cervical proprioception) and how long the neck muscles can work without getting tired (cervical muscle endurance). They will compare individuals with FHP to those with a normal head position to see how these factors relate to coordination and balance.

To participate, individuals must be between 18 to 24 years old and willing to join the study. Participants will have their head and neck positions measured and will go through several simple tests to assess their neck sensing abilities, coordination, balance, and muscle endurance. All evaluations will be carried out by the same researcher to ensure consistency. Importantly, those who have had trauma or surgery in the neck or upper body, have certain spinal deformities, or specific medical conditions will not be eligible to participate. This study aims to shed light on how posture might influence coordination and stability, which can help in developing better treatment plans for those with FHP.
