ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how caffeine affects people during physical training. The researchers want to see if taking caffeine can boost energy, motivation, and satisfaction while exercising, compared to taking a placebo (a substance with no active ingredients) or not taking anything at all. Participants will go through three different sessions: one where they take caffeine, one with a placebo, and one with no substance. They will then complete a standard exercise test, and the researchers will measure how motivated and energized they feel during each session. They think that those who consume caffeine will feel more energetic and motivated and perform better in the exercise test.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 18 and 30 years old, consume caffeine regularly, and engage in physical activities. Those with certain health conditions, who take specific medications or supplements, smoke, are pregnant, or have a caffeine allergy won’t be able to participate. Before joining, participants will fill out a health questionnaire and give their written consent. This study will help us understand not only the effects of caffeine but also how genetic differences may influence these effects on motivation and performance.
