ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving how healthcare professionals identify individuals who may be experiencing intimate partner violence (IPV) in primary care settings. The study will test three different approaches: using a standardized questionnaire to screen patients for IPV, training staff with virtual patients that represent IPV situations, and combining both the questionnaire and virtual training. The goal is to see which method helps healthcare workers recognize and respond to victims of IPV most effectively.
Healthcare staff who work directly with patients, like doctors, nurses, midwives, and social workers, are eligible to participate in this study. Those who choose to join will apply one of the three methods in their work environment. Before and after using the methods, researchers will measure how well the staff can identify patients experiencing IPV. Additionally, focus group discussions will help gather feedback on which approach was seen as the most effective. This research aims to enhance support for individuals facing violence in their relationships, ultimately improving their care in primary health settings.
