ClinConnect Summary

The Dialogical Family Guidance PostDoc Study is a clinical trial designed to help families with a child who has a neurodevelopmental disorder, such as ADHD or autism. The main focus of this trial is to provide support and guidance to these families through a program called Dialogical Family Guidance (DFG). This program includes six meetings with trained professionals who listen to families and help them tackle everyday challenges they may face. The study aims to see how effective this approach is in improving family dynamics and relationships.

To participate in this trial, families must have a child aged between 4 and 13 years who has a clinical diagnosis related to neurodevelopmental disorders. It's important that at least one parent speaks Finnish, as the sessions and questionnaires are only available in that language. Families who are interested in receiving support and are motivated to participate are encouraged to join. If selected, families can expect to engage in meaningful discussions with therapists who understand their unique needs and help them find practical solutions.
