ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "PET-CT Imaging Features of Meibomian Glands," is exploring how certain imaging techniques can help us understand Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) and its connection to dry eyes. The researchers are looking at the results of dry eye tests alongside PET-CT scans, which are special imaging tests that show how well these glands in the eyelids are functioning. This study is currently recruiting participants who have recently had a PET-CT scan at Zhongnan Hospital and have visited the ophthalmology department between January 2021 and December 2023.
To be a part of this study, you need to have undergone a dry eye analysis and have had a PET-CT exam at the hospital within the last month. However, if you've had any eye surgeries, injuries, or other eye-related health issues, you won't be eligible to participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to help researchers learn more about the causes of dry eyes and how to better diagnose and treat this common problem. Your participation could contribute to improved understanding and management of eye health for many people.
