ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how echocardiography, a type of ultrasound that looks at the heart, can help improve cardiac catheterization procedures in children with congenital heart disease. The goal is to make sure doctors have the best images and information about a child's heart both before and during the procedure. This can help them better understand how the heart is working, plan the procedure more effectively, and monitor the child's condition after treatment to see how well they are doing.
The trial is looking for infants and children aged 1 month to 18 years who have been diagnosed with congenital heart defects and need a cardiac catheterization. However, it will not include patients with very complex heart issues, those with a history of kidney problems, or infants younger than 1 month. If eligible and participating, families can expect close monitoring and evaluation during the procedure, as well as follow-up to check on recovery and any potential complications. This study aims to enhance the care provided to children undergoing these important heart procedures.
