ClinConnect Summary
The EXPOSITION Study is a research project that aims to understand how different environmental factors, like air pollution and lifestyle choices, affect people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), particularly those with the relapsing-remitting type. Researchers will look at biological markers in the body that indicate stress and inflammation, as well as the health of the gut and nasal bacteria. They want to see how these markers change in response to the environment and lifestyle, which may help improve our understanding of MS and its management.
To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old, have a confirmed diagnosis of relapsing-remitting MS, and live in the Pavia or Milan areas of Italy. If you join, you'll provide information about your health and lifestyle, and undergo tests to measure certain biological markers. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but it will take place between September 15, 2023, and March 15, 2024. Your participation will help researchers learn more about how our surroundings can impact MS.
