ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how certain hormone and neuropeptide imbalances affect body weight and composition in patients with specific pituitary gland disorders, like Cushing Syndrome and Acromegaly. The researchers want to find out if different treatments, including medications and surgeries, can help manage weight gain and improve overall health in people with these conditions. They will look at both past data and new patients to better understand these relationships.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be obese and may or may not have a hypothalamic-pituitary disorder. However, minors, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those with serious health issues or difficulties understanding the study will not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to be part of an important research effort aimed at improving treatment options and understanding for people with these complex endocrine disorders. The study is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be more information available soon.
