ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the long-term results of hip arthroscopy, a surgical procedure used to treat femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), which is a common cause of hip pain in young and active people. The goal is to find out how this surgery affects patients over time, particularly in relation to the development of osteoarthritis, a condition that can cause joint pain and stiffness. While hip arthroscopy has been shown to help improve patients' quality of life, researchers want to learn more about its long-term effects.
To participate in this study, patients must have been part of a previous study and have had at least five years of follow-up since their hip arthroscopy. They should also be able to understand the study and be willing to sign a consent form. However, individuals who have had surgery on both hips or who are unable to sign the consent will not be eligible. Participants can expect to share their experiences and contribute to important research that could help improve treatment for others with similar hip issues in the future.
