ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Assessment System of Sarcopenia in Lung Cancer Patients," is looking to improve how we diagnose and understand a condition called sarcopenia, which involves the loss of muscle mass and strength, in patients with lung cancer. The study will use a combination of ultrasound and imaging techniques like CT or MRI scans to see how well these methods can help in identifying sarcopenia, predicting how well patients will do after surgery, and assessing how nutritional support can aid recovery during and after treatment.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be hospitalized and scheduled for surgery to remove lung cancer, and they should have had a CT or MRI scan within the past week. However, certain patients may not be eligible, such as those with severe swelling in their limbs or those with conditions that could interfere with their ability to participate. Participants can expect to undergo imaging assessments and may help provide valuable information that could improve care for future lung cancer patients.
