ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to find out which method works better for inserting a breathing tube in adults who need help with breathing in an emergency department. The two methods being compared are video laryngoscopy, which uses a camera to see the airway, and direct laryngoscopy, which uses a straight tool to visualize the airway directly. The study will also look at any problems or side effects that might happen with each method and see if success rates vary based on the patient’s age and gender.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and require orotracheal intubation, which is the process of placing a tube into your windpipe. You will also need to provide written consent to join. However, if you are pregnant or if your intubation is performed by medical officers (like interns or residents), you won't be eligible for this trial. Since the study is not yet recruiting participants, there will be more information available once it begins.
