ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how having a history of concussions affects sleep and physical performance in athletes who play contact sports, such as boxing or wrestling. Researchers want to understand if past concussions can lead to issues with sleeping well and performing at their best in sports. This study is important because it can help shed light on the long-term effects of concussions on athletes’ health and their ability to compete.
To participate in this study, you need to be an active male combat sports athlete aged between 18 and 25 years who has experienced a recent mild concussion—meaning you've had symptoms after a hit to the head, neck, or jaw within the last 3 to 30 days. Participants will be asked about their sleep patterns and athletic performance, and they might undergo assessments as part of the trial. It's also important to note that athletes with concussions from non-sport activities or those who have certain medical conditions, like recent fractures or metabolic diseases, won't be eligible to participate. This study is currently in the recruiting stage, so if you meet the criteria and are interested, you can consider joining.
