ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two medications, mirogabalin and pregabalin, to see which one is more effective at reducing pain after knee surgery. The surgery being studied is called total knee arthroplasty (TKA), which is often done for people with arthritis in their knee. Participants in the study will be randomly assigned to take either mirogabalin or pregabalin for six weeks after their surgery, and researchers will look at how well each medication helps with pain and recovery.
To be eligible for this trial, you must be between 50 and 85 years old, have osteoarthritis requiring total knee surgery, and be in good overall health (classified as ASA I-III). However, if you have certain health issues, such as kidney problems or severe liver disease, or if you've had knee surgery before, you might not qualify. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, and it aims to help improve pain management options for patients undergoing knee surgery.
