This clinical trial is studying how a special care package for pressure ulcers can help reduce the risk of developing these sores in patients who are having orthopedic surgery. Pressure ulcers, also known as bedsores, can occur when someone is lying down for a long time, especially during and after surgery. The study will take place at the Doğubayazıt Dr. Yaşar Eryılmaz State Hospital in Turkey and is currently looking for participants.

To be eligible for this study, patients should be undergoing surgery related to bones or joints, and they need to be able to communicate without issues. They must also be willing to take part in the study. However, those who already have pressure ulcers before surgery, are bedridden, or are moved to intensive care after surgery will not be included. Participants will complete some simple forms to help collect data on their care and the development of any pressure ulcers. This information will help researchers understand the effectiveness of the pressure ulcer care package.

Eligibility criteria

• Inclusion Criteria:
• • Orthopaedics and traumatology department
• • Those who have undergone general or spinal anesthesia
• • Without any communication problems
• • Patients who volunteered to participate in the study
• Exclusion Criteria:
• • Patients with pre-operative pressure ulcer
• • Those who are bedridden
• • Patients referred to the intensive care unit after surgery
• • Patients who wish to leave the study will be excluded from the study.
