ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the relationship between obstructive sleep apnea (a condition that causes breathing problems during sleep), changes in facial color, and symptoms like fainting or dizziness (known as vasovagal symptoms). Researchers want to learn more about how these issues are connected and see if changes in facial appearance could help identify people who have sleep apnea more easily. They also plan to explore whether having sleep apnea might lead to an increased tendency to smoke and how treatment for sleep apnea could affect these symptoms.
To be eligible for the trial, you need to be between 65 and 74 years old and agree to participate by signing a consent form. However, if you have already been diagnosed with sleep apnea through a sleep study, you won't be able to join. Participants will provide information about their health and lifestyle, and they will undergo tests to monitor their sleep patterns. This study is currently recruiting participants, and everyone is welcome to apply, regardless of gender.
