ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of onco-sexology support on the quality of life for patients who have just been diagnosed with cancer. Onco-sexology focuses on helping individuals manage their sexual health and intimacy concerns during and after cancer treatment, which is often overlooked. The goal of this study is to find out if getting support for sexual health early in the treatment process makes a positive difference in patients' overall quality of life compared to receiving this support later on.
To participate in the study, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have recently been diagnosed with cancer, including those in palliative care. They will need to provide written consent to join. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it begins, those involved can expect to receive support tailored to their sexual health needs at different points during their cancer treatment. It’s important to note that this study aims to improve the way healthcare providers address sexual health in cancer care, as many patients want to discuss these intimate topics but often find it difficult to do so.
