ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at different surgical methods to treat fractures in the mandibular condyle, which is the part of the jaw that connects to the skull. These types of fractures make up a significant portion of all jaw fractures, and the goal of the study is to find the best way to repair them effectively.
To be eligible for this trial, patients must have a specific type of fracture called an extra capsular fracture of the mandibular condyle and be willing to undergo surgery. However, certain individuals will not be able to participate, including those with open wounds in the area, injuries to the facial nerve, or those who have had previous surgeries in the same region. Patients can expect to receive surgical treatment and will be monitored throughout the process to determine the best approach for recovery. This study is important as it aims to improve outcomes for patients with jaw fractures.
