ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how psychological counseling can help university students who are feeling distressed and struggling with their studies. It focuses on students who have sought help from the university counseling service in Southern Italy. The researchers want to find out if four weekly sessions of counseling can improve students' mental health and motivation to succeed in their academic work. They are also interested in understanding which factors might influence how effective the counseling is for different students.
To participate in the trial, students must be enrolled at the university and have asked for help from the counseling service. They should also be comfortable speaking Italian, as the sessions will be conducted in that language. If eligible, participants can expect to attend four counseling sessions and will have the opportunity to share their experiences before and after the intervention to help researchers learn more about its benefits. This study is currently recruiting participants, and all students, regardless of gender, are welcome to join.
