ClinConnect Summary
The Student Exercise and Sleep Timing Study - Part 2 is a research project looking to understand how exercising in the morning affects sleep, mood, stress, and productivity in college students. The study specifically targets students aged 18 to 23 who usually exercise in the evening but report having poor sleep quality. The goal is to see if switching their workouts to the morning can help them sleep better, feel happier, and reduce stress, compared to those who continue their usual evening exercise routine.
To participate, students need to be generally healthy, exercise in the evenings at least three times a week, and have trouble sleeping. They will wear a wrist device to track their sleep and activity. Participants should be ready to change their exercise habits to the morning for the next four weeks. This study is currently recruiting participants of any gender, and it aims to provide valuable insights into how exercise timing might improve overall well-being for students struggling with sleep and mood challenges.
