ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a new approach to managing pain after arthroscopic hip surgery, a common procedure to treat various hip issues. Even though this surgery is minimally invasive, many patients still experience significant pain afterward, which can slow down recovery and lead to dissatisfaction. The trial is focusing on a technique called Circum-Psoas Block (CPB), which aims to provide better pain relief by targeting specific nerves in the hip area that other methods might miss.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 70 years old and scheduled for a hip arthroscopy. You should be in generally good health, meaning you have no severe chronic pain issues requiring ongoing opioid medication or other conditions that would make nerve blocks unsafe. Participants will receive either the new pain management technique or standard care, and the researchers will assess how effective the CPB is in reducing postoperative pain. This trial is not yet recruiting, but it's an important step towards improving recovery experiences for hip surgery patients.
