ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how being overweight or obese affects kidney health, specifically looking at two groups: those who are metabolically healthy despite their weight and those who are not. Researchers want to understand if these different metabolic conditions lead to varying levels of kidney function or damage. They will include 1,000 patients aged 18 to 60 who have a body mass index (BMI) of at least 25 kg/m². People who are pregnant, have diabetes, or certain other health conditions won’t be able to participate.
If you join this study, you’ll help researchers learn more about how diet and processed foods might influence kidney health in people with obesity. The trial is observational, which means you won’t be receiving any treatments, but rather your health will be monitored over time. Participating could help improve our understanding of how to better care for individuals struggling with weight and kidney issues in the future.
