ClinConnect Summary
The Pregnancy Repository trial is studying the health of pregnant women and their babies by collecting and analyzing different types of biological samples, like blood and tissue. The goal is to understand conditions that can arise during pregnancy, such as preeclampsia (a serious condition that can affect pregnant women) and issues related to the placenta, which is the organ that provides nutrients to the baby. Researchers will gather samples from both high-risk pregnancies (those with potential complications) and low-risk pregnancies to compare and find out more about these conditions.
To participate in this study, women aged 18 to 45 who are currently pregnant may be eligible. This includes those who have known risks for pregnancy complications as well as those with low-risk pregnancies. Women who join the study will have their samples collected while they receive care at the hospital. The information gathered will help improve our understanding of pregnancy-related issues and could lead to better treatments in the future. It's important to note that this trial has not started recruiting participants yet, but it aims to create a valuable resource for future research.
