ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how past concussions might affect balance and thinking skills in athletes who play contact sports. Researchers want to understand if having a history of concussions leads to problems with vestibular function, which is the system that helps control balance, as well as cognitive function, which involves thinking and memory.
To participate in this study, athletes need to be between 18 and 35 years old and actively involved in contact sports. However, those who have had concussions from non-sports activities or have recent fractures, as well as anyone with neurological issues, will not be eligible. If you qualify, you can expect to undergo tests to measure your balance and cognitive abilities. The goal is to gather valuable information that can help improve the understanding of concussion effects in young athletes.
