ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying ways to improve the quality of life for mothers and their children who are living with HIV in China. Specifically, it is testing two different support programs: one that focuses on building resilience, which helps people cope better with challenges, and another that helps improve treatment adherence, making sure that patients stick to their HIV treatment plans. The goal is to see if these programs can help both mothers and their children feel better overall and improve their health-related quality of life.

To participate in this trial, mothers and their children need to meet certain criteria. The child must be HIV positive and have been infected with the virus since birth, and both the child and the mother must be receiving HIV treatment called HAART. Mothers should be the primary caregivers for their children. Participants will attend two sessions of support intervention together, and researchers will compare their experiences with those who are receiving standard treatment. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a chance to receive additional support while contributing to important research that could help other families in the future.
