ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of special exercises and a technique called kinesiological taping on young adults with scoliosis, which is a condition that causes the spine to curve. The researchers want to see if these methods can help improve spinal shape and overall health. The study will involve 57 young adults aged 18-21, including 38 with scoliosis and 19 healthy individuals for comparison. Participants with scoliosis will be divided into two groups: one group will do only the exercises, while the other group will do the exercises along with kinesiological taping.

To be eligible for this study, participants must be between 18 and 21 years old and have scoliosis. They should be ready to follow the treatment plan throughout the study. However, individuals with certain health issues, such as diabetes or joint diseases, will not be included. Throughout the trial, participants can expect to undergo various assessments to measure changes in their spinal condition and quality of life, including tests that check how their spine moves and questionnaires about their daily living. This research aims to better understand how these treatments might help young adults with scoliosis.
