ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how virtual reality (VR) glasses can help reduce anxiety in men who are having a cystoscopy for the first time. A cystoscopy is a procedure where a doctor uses a thin tube with a camera to look inside the bladder. The study aims to see if wearing VR glasses during this procedure can distract patients and make them feel less anxious.
To participate in this trial, men must be 18 years or older and agree to take part in the research. They should be having a rigid cystoscopy for the first time and will receive local anesthesia to numb the area. However, individuals with certain cognitive or physical disabilities that might prevent them from using the VR glasses, or those who take medication before the procedure, won't be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to wear VR glasses during your cystoscopy, which may help make the experience more comfortable.
