ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a method called dermatoscopy to help doctors decide how much skin to remove when treating certain types of skin cancer, specifically basal cell carcinoma and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. Dermatoscopy is a tool that allows doctors to take a closer look at the skin and assess the cancer more accurately. The main goal of the study is to see if using this method leads to better outcomes in terms of completely removing the cancer compared to traditional methods.

To participate in this trial, patients should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have either a suspected or confirmed case of the skin cancers mentioned. Unfortunately, people with recurrent tumors or those who have had radiation therapy in the same area cannot join. If you decide to take part, you’ll work closely with the medical team, who will guide you through the process and explain what to expect at each step. Overall, this trial aims to improve the way skin cancer is treated, which could lead to better health outcomes for patients in the future.
