ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on finding a new way to detect early-onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC), which is cancer of the colon or rectum diagnosed in people under 50 years old. This type of cancer is becoming more common in younger adults, making it important to find it early. The researchers are developing a simple blood test that looks for certain RNA molecules related to cancer, which could help identify EOCRC without the need for more invasive procedures.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be under 50 years old and have been diagnosed with any stage of colorectal cancer. They should have undergone standard testing and have had a sample taken before starting any treatment. People who have certain hereditary cancer syndromes or inflammatory bowel diseases cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to provide a blood sample and help researchers understand more about this disease to improve early detection methods in the future.
