ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called Advanced Social Relations Training, is designed for young people aged 9 to 12 years who have a diagnosis of autism and an intelligence quotient (IQ) of 80 or higher. The goal of the trial is to help these children improve their communication and social skills. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will use technology during their training sessions, while the other will follow more traditional methods. Over the course of 23 weekly sessions, each lasting 45 minutes, children will learn how to communicate better and understand social situations through role-playing and social stories that reflect everyday life.
If your child qualifies for this study, they will engage in various activities aimed at teaching them how to interact with others appropriately, manage social dynamics, and use social media safely. It's important to note that children with other medical disorders will not be included in this trial. This program offers a supportive environment where young people can develop valuable skills that may help them in their daily lives.
