ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying acute kidney injury (AKI) in patients who have liver cirrhosis, a condition where the liver becomes severely scarred and doesn’t work properly. The researchers aim to understand how common AKI is in these patients, what factors might increase the risk of developing it, and what the outcomes are for those affected. This is important because there hasn’t been much research on this topic in the local area, and the findings could help improve care for patients with both liver cirrhosis and kidney issues.
To participate in the trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have liver cirrhosis. However, if you have a history of chronic kidney disease, have had a kidney transplant, have cancer, or are pregnant, you would not be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect to help researchers collect important information that could lead to better understanding and treatment options for people facing these health challenges. Your involvement could be vital in shedding light on a less-studied aspect of liver disease.
