ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how heart changes after a heart attack, specifically looking at differences between men and women. Researchers want to understand why women often have worse outcomes, like higher rates of death and heart failure, after experiencing their first heart attack. The trial will involve regular non-invasive imaging tests to track how the heart's size and shape may change in women compared to men after a heart attack.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be over 18 years old and must have had their first heart attack with a specific type of heart damage known as ST-segment elevation within the last 72 hours. They also need to be part of a social security scheme and sign a consent form. Participants can expect to undergo several imaging tests and will be monitored closely throughout the study. It’s important to know that certain individuals, like those who cannot understand French or are currently in legal custody, cannot participate.
