ClinConnect Summary
The TAILOR-EUS study is a clinical trial focused on collecting images and videos from endoscopic procedures used to investigate various pancreatic diseases, such as pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) and pancreatic cancer. The goal is to create a comprehensive registry that will help doctors understand these conditions better and improve patient care. The study will include around 12,000 patients who have either been diagnosed or are suspected of having these pancreatic issues. This information will be gathered from both past records and ongoing procedures at a specialized hospital unit through 2027.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be over 18 years old and have a suspected or confirmed pancreatic disease that requires an endoscopic ultrasound, a procedure that uses sound waves to create images of the pancreas. Participants will go through standard diagnostic processes as part of their regular medical care. It’s important to note that pregnant or breastfeeding individuals cannot participate, and anyone who cannot undergo the endoscopic procedure safely will also be excluded. By joining this study, participants will contribute to important research that aims to enhance understanding and treatment of pancreatic diseases.
