ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a technique called motivational interviewing can help people with Type 2 Diabetes improve their well-being and reduce stress. Motivational interviewing is a conversation style that encourages individuals to talk about their feelings and challenges regarding their health. In this study, participants will meet online with a trained interviewer once a week for four weeks, with each session lasting up to 40 minutes. The trial is taking place between March 2024 and March 2025 at Yozgat Bozok University Health Practice and Research Center.
To participate in this trial, individuals should be between 65 and 74 years old, have a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes, and have recent blood test results showing their diabetes management is not in the normal range. Unfortunately, those with Type 1 Diabetes or difficulties reading and understanding Turkish cannot join. This is an exciting opportunity for eligible individuals to potentially improve their health and well-being through supportive conversations.
