Older Adults Sensorimotor Integration Visual Tracking While Walking

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how older adults, specifically those aged 65 and above, maintain their balance while standing and walking, especially when their head is moved in different directions. The researchers want to understand how factors like age-related weakness, sensory abilities, and thinking skills affect balance and the risk of falling. By examining these factors, the trial aims to find better ways to help prevent falls in older adults.

To participate in this study, you need to be at least 65 years old and living in the community. Unfortunately, if you have certain medical conditions that impact your balance or require a full-time walking aid, you won't be eligible to join. If you do qualify, you’ll be involved in activities that assess your balance while standing and walking under different conditions. This is a great opportunity to contribute to important research that could improve safety and quality of life for older adults.
