ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how virtual reality can help patients feel more comfortable during a procedure called cardiac electronic device implantation, which is done under local anesthesia (meaning the patient is awake but the area being worked on is numbed). The goal is to see if using virtual reality during the procedure can reduce discomfort or anxiety for patients.

To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old and willing to sign a consent form to join. They should be having a new cardiac device implanted or a battery change for an existing device and the procedure should be done on an outpatient basis (meaning they won't stay overnight). However, people with certain conditions, such as severe visual or hearing problems, claustrophobia, or certain psychiatric issues, may not be able to participate. If someone joins the study, they can expect to experience virtual reality while their procedure is taking place, which may help make the process more pleasant.
