ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, titled "Umblical Artery Systolic/Diastolic Ratio and Amniotic Fluid Index in Prediction of Fetal Outcome in Term Pregnancy," is studying how two important tests can help predict the health of babies before they are born. The tests being looked at are the umbilical artery Doppler test, which measures blood flow in the umbilical cord, and the amniotic fluid index, which checks the amount of fluid surrounding the baby. By comparing the results of these two tests, researchers hope to better understand which babies might be at risk for complications, allowing for timely medical decisions to keep both mothers and babies safe.

To participate in this study, women aged 18 to 40 who are in their third trimester of a single, healthy pregnancy (between 37 weeks and 40 weeks) may be eligible. However, women who have multiple pregnancies, preterm labor, certain health conditions like preeclampsia or diabetes, or babies with congenital anomalies will not be included. Participants can expect to undergo these non-invasive tests as part of their regular prenatal care, helping doctors to monitor the well-being of their babies. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to enhance prenatal care and improve outcomes for mothers and their newborns.
