ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how the body responds to surgery for jaw fractures, specifically comparing two different surgical methods: one that is done inside the mouth (intraoral) and another that is done outside the mouth (extraoral). The researchers want to measure certain substances in the blood that can help understand how the body reacts to the trauma of surgery.
To take part in this study, participants need to be between 18 and 50 years old and have a single recent jaw fracture that is less than two weeks old, treated with a specific type of surgery using titanium plates and screws. However, people with certain conditions, like other injuries or medical issues that could complicate surgery, will not be included. If you join the trial, you will help contribute valuable information that could improve future treatments for jaw fractures.
