ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new approach called the ELLASI intervention to help patients with multiple injuries, known as polytrauma, in the emergency department. The main goals are to see if ELLASI can help medical staff respond faster, improve patients' health scores, and enhance their overall metabolic status compared to standard care. The ELLASI intervention includes steps like ensuring patients can breathe properly, positioning them comfortably, stabilizing their condition, reassessing their pain, obtaining consent for treatment, and keeping both patients and their families informed about the next steps.

To participate in this trial, patients must have multiple injuries and should not have received any medical treatment before joining. Those who are interested will be divided into two groups: one will receive the ELLASI intervention, while the other will receive the usual care. Throughout the study, researchers will keep track of how quickly patients are treated and how their health changes before and after the intervention. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, aged between 65 and 74, and aims to improve emergency care for those facing serious injuries.
