ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective empathy training is for psychology students who are training to become mental health practitioners. The training will include five sessions where students will learn about empathy, engage in group exercises, and participate in question and answer sessions. To measure how well their empathy improves, the researchers will collect feedback from the students themselves, their peers, and outside observers.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be between 18 and 65 years old, majoring or double majoring in psychology, and currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students. However, those with certain conditions such as hearing or speech impairments, a diagnosis of mental disorders, or those currently involved in other emotional skills training will not be eligible. Participants can expect to take part in engaging training sessions designed to enhance their understanding and practice of empathy, which is a crucial skill for anyone working in mental health.
