ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a surgical technique called the Posterior Component Separation technique (PCS) to see how well it works for patients with complex ventral hernias, which are bulges in the abdominal wall. The main goals are to understand how this surgery helps restore normal abdominal function and to identify any common complications that might occur within six months after the operation.
To participate in this trial, patients should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have a complex ventral hernia that cannot be treated with standard surgery. However, patients who cannot handle long periods under anesthesia, those facing emergency hernia situations, or women who are pregnant will not be eligible. If you qualify and join the study, you will have the opportunity to help researchers learn more about this technique and its effects on recovery and healing.
