ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called ulcerative colitis, which is an inflammation of the intestines. The research aims to look at different types of immune cells, called T lymphocytes, in the blood of patients with ulcerative colitis. The researchers want to understand how these cells relate to the effectiveness of treatments and the severity of the disease. They will also check for a specific protein, known as IgG anti-Integrin αvβ6, to see if it has any significance in managing ulcerative colitis.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of ulcerative colitis. Unfortunately, people under 18, those who do not wish to participate, or those with other autoimmune diseases cannot join the study. Participants can expect to provide blood samples and answer questions about their condition and treatment while contributing to important research that could help improve future care for ulcerative colitis. This trial is currently not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather valuable information to better understand the disease and its treatments.
