ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different surgical methods for treating Schatzker Type II tibial plateau fractures, which are injuries that can occur in the knee area due to trauma. The trial aims to compare outcomes from two approaches: one where screws are used alone to fix the fracture, and another where both plates and screws are used. The goal is to see which method results in better healing and recovery for patients with these specific types of fractures.
To participate in the trial, you need to be between 18 and 70 years old and have a specific type of fracture known as a split depression of the lateral tibial plateau. If you join the study, your treatment will focus on restoring the alignment of your knee and allowing you to move it sooner. It’s important to know that this study is currently recruiting participants, and those with more severe fractures or complications may not be eligible. Overall, this trial could help improve how tibial plateau fractures are treated in the future.
