ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring how family history of obesity may affect the way our bodies respond to protein intake and hunger. Specifically, researchers want to see if people with at least one parent who had obesity in adulthood behave differently when it comes to controlling their food intake compared to those whose parents did not have obesity. The study will use brain imaging techniques to gain insights into these differences and understand more about obesity.

To participate in this trial, you need to be between the ages of 65 and 78, have a body mass index (BMI) between 20 and 40, and have been at a stable weight for at least three months. You should either have no parents with a history of obesity or at least one parent with a history of obesity in adulthood. Participants should not have any current psychiatric or neurological disorders, and there are other health criteria to ensure safety. Those who qualify will take part in assessments and activities related to food intake and protein consumption, contributing to important research on obesity. If you're interested, you can reach out for more details on how to get involved.
