ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at two different methods for treating a condition called alveolar cleft, which is a gap in the upper jaw that can affect speech and eating. Researchers want to compare a new approach that uses a mixture of bone marrow aspirate concentrate (a special preparation from your own bone marrow) combined with donated bone (called allograft) to the traditional method that uses bone taken from the hip (iliac cancellous bone).

To participate in this trial, you need to be between the ages of 2 and 21 and have an alveolar cleft that hasn't been treated with surgery before. The trial is not yet recruiting, which means they haven’t started enrolling participants yet. If you join, you can expect to undergo assessments to see how well each method works in healing the cleft. This study aims to find out which treatment might be better for patients like you, helping improve outcomes in the future.
